Biography
Roger Davidson - Raúl Jaurenaf's biography
A versatile jazz composer and pianist of classical training, Roger Davidson was born in Paris in 1952, but has been living in the United States since his childhood. Among jazz improvisators, his style fits within the lyrical and melodic movement, though his curiosity led him to venture into the Brazilian samba, Afro-Cuban salsa and tango. On the occasion of this Festival, Roger Davidson will present his latest album, Pasión Por la Vida, the third one devoted entirely to tango, this time with a special feature: he authored all the pieces. It was recorded alongside Uruguayan Grammy-winner bandoneonist Raúl Jaurena, who will be joining Davidson in his appearance in Buenos Aires.
