Orquesta Típica Julián Peralta

For many years, the possibility to have access to didactic material on the technical aspects of the typical orchestra was a chimera. This was due to the lack of literature on the subject. The book La Orquesta Típica. Mecánica y Aplicación de los Fundamentos Técnicos del Tango (The Typical Orchestra. The Mechanics and Application of the Technical Fundamentals of Tango), by pianist and teacher Julián Peralta, is a precious contribution that fills that gap. At the request of the organisers of the festival, Peralta will present his book, accompanied with live music by an orchestra he himself will direct from the piano. Among its members are Martín Vanderlinden, Alejandro Schaikis and Lucas Furno (violins), Luciano Fallon (cello), Mariano González Caló, Adolfo Trepiana, Alejandro Guerschberg and Nicolás Perrone (bandoneons), Juan Pablo Arcangeli (double bass) and Julián Bruno (vocals). The concert will be an opportunity to learn of his technical study on tango amidst good music and knowledge. Julián Peralta is a researcher and teacher at the School of Popular Music of Avellaneda, the Tango National Academy and the Estudio Musical Orlando Goñi. He founded self-managed tango spaces, was a member of the Orquesta Típica Fernández Fierro and, at present, of the Orquesta Astillero.
