  Sexteto Milonguero's biography

With their faithful reproductions of the repertoire of the forties, the Sexteto Milonguero have won the hearts of the dancers at milongas, who are rediscovering the pleasure of dancing to live music after many decades of having to resort to records. They recreate the repertoire of D’Agostino-Vargas –strangely forgotten by the emblematic orchestras– as well as that of the great orchestras like Aníbal Troilo’s. Set up in 2006, in a few years they have toured the world and released two albums. The line-up is Javier Di Ciriaco (vocals), Marisol Canessa and Mariano Laplume (violins), Diego Braconi and Mauricio Jost (bandoneons), Gervasio Ledesma (piano) and Cristian Sepúlveda (double bass).
