Jesús Hidalgo's biography
Singer Jesús Hidalgo was born in Bragado, in the Buenos Aires province. In 2001 he won the contest Hugo del Carril for young singers and songwriters. He appeared alongside the Orquesta Escuela de Tango at the Teatro General San Martín in 2002 and at the Teatro Colón in 2004. He has often collaborated with bandoneonist Walter Ríos, as the vocals of his ensemble. In 2006, he set out on a tour of seven cities in Japan, together with Aníbal Arias and Osvaldo Montes. From that same year up to the present day he has been singing with Raúl Garello’s sextet. In 2007 he recorded his first album, El Día Después, with musical direction by Walter Ríos. On this occasion, Jesús Hidalgo will be accompanied by guitarists Amílcar Valeriani and Emiliano Farina.
