  Marcelo Boccanera's biography

Marcelo Boccanera is an author, composer, singer and guitarist. He has been cultivating the song genre for 25 years, and is now taking his first steps into tango. His career as a melodic singer bore well-remembered songs, including Del Cielo a los Andenes, recorded alongside Silvio Rodríguez in 1988. Marcelo lived in Mexico for many years and toured throughout Latin America, sharing the stage with musicians such as Alfredo Zitarrosa, Jaime Roos, Pablo Milanés and León Gieco, among others. In this new period devoted to tango he has taken great care to avoid any kind of pollution from the melodic song and rock, thus achieving a sound that recalls the singers of the forties. The singer will be joined by pianist Gustavo Corrado and Víctor Lasear, former guitarist of Floreal Ruiz and Roberto Goyeneche, to interpret classics of the genre such as Pasional, La Última Curda, Yuyo Verde and Naranjo en Flor.
