Biography
Cantaré hasta el final. Poemas arremangados, versos y canciones's biography
Héctor Negro’s unique voice, supported by a poetics that reflects the Porteño essence, has placed him at the forefront of a new poetry in the Buenos Aires of the 1960s. In that position he has managed to stay: “Viejo Tortoni”, “Bien de Abajo”, “De Buenos Aires Morena”, “Un Lobo Más”, attest to it. This volume (which translates as I’ll Sing Till the End) consists of poems and songs, alternating between academic and slang registers, the regional elegy and the social expression, from Héctor Negro’s skilful pen.
