Veneno de Tango is a review of the real world of the milongas, the one that is taking place now, right now, tonight. Everything about it is contained in this book, its wonderful characters, its exceptional codes, its eternally oblique violence, its eternally secret goodness. Most of the stories were originally published in El Tangauta magazine, under the pseudonym René. The ambiguity of genre of such an alias has mystified the readers of the publication, male and female alike.
