Biography
Pedacito de Cielo's biography
The Planetarium of Buenos Aires, the pride of the
city, treasures the images of thousands of celestial
bodies that have paraded before the amazed eyes
of nearly seven million people over 25 thousand
screenings in three decades. The spectacle of the firmament. From the playful “La C…ara de la L…una” (The Face of the Moon, Manuel O. Campoamor)
to the electronic “Ese Cielo Azul” (That Blue Sky, Bajofondo), many tango songs look up at the sky: “Lluvia de Estrellas” (Meteor Shower) and
“Concierto en la Luna” (Concert on the Moon) by Maderna, as well as the lovely vals by Francini, Stamponi and Expósito after which is named the show (A Little Piece of Heaven). The Festival summoned
two duos from different artistic backgrounds –instrumental tango and audiovisual languages– in order to explore, each of them in turn, likely or unlikely points of contact between celestial bodies and tango. The exquisite duo of guitar and bandoneon by Aníbal
Arias and Osvaldo “Marinero” Montes will open the event, to be followed by a selection of recordings of different styles, with a VJ set by Picky Talarico and Juan Jaureguiberry.
