Tango lesson

An illustrious milonguero and acclaimed figure of the stage tango, Juan Carlos Copes is not only a dancer and choreographer but also an established teacher. The secrets of his style, his characteristic figures and his unique choreographic language have drawn the attention of the followers of the genre for decades. In his own words: “There is no person in the world, and there will never be, who holds the truth about tango-dance, for, as it is a means of expressing feelings, it cannot take a specific shape. For that reason I do not like being called a teacher. One can get to be a guide for those who feel tango and wish to dance it, regardless of their age. In that case then, one can help, lead and support that passion for something so noble, so pure, so Argentine.” Among his innumerable students are Robert Duvall, Liza Minelli, Julio Bocca and Eleonora Cassano.

The lives of Michel (Bruno Putzulu), Clara (Marisa Paredes) and David (Féodor Atkine) are marked by a tumultuous past in Buenos Aires which now, in Paris, brings their paths together. This “other side of the world,” that haunts the characters’ present, has left a different mark on each one of them. The stories of the three characters are tragically intertwined without them noticing it.

Mundial de Baile: Final Tango Salón

The selection of the winners of the Dance World Cup, in the Salon Tango category, will turn the stage of the Luna Park stadium into a most prestigious dance floor. The great closing night of the category offers multiple attractions: as well as the competition itself, pianist and composer José “Pepo” Ojiuieki and his orchestra, alongside singer and composer Chico Novarro and singer Julia Zenko, will present a show dedicated to the great author from Santa Fe province. Directed by Aurora Lúbiz, the dancers of Corporación Tango will deliver a closing choreography in which the brand new winners will also be showing off their skills.
